Mucus: Mucus in bowel movements can be seen with irritable bowel syndrome or mucus colitis and isn't necessarily a sign of serious bowel pathology unless you're experiencing bloody stools, severe abdominal cramps,pain and/or tenderness. If you still have concerns, consult a proctologist or gastroenterologist.
