Hi, for the past 4 or 5 bowel movements i have noticed a little light brown mucus when i wipe. no pain, bleeding etc. perhaps slightly softer but that's it. thanks?

A small amount ok: I realize it is difficult to estimate "What is a small amount?" Helpful that that there is no blood or pain. I think it would be safe to watch and wait since this has just been going on a few days. Worrisome conditions include infection or inflammatory bowel disease. If it persists a couple weeks, you see blood, or persistent diarrhea, see your doctor for evaluation. Good wishes:)
