Thrush: Sugar is like throwing a party for thrush. It feeds it. Here's a link about that and more http://www.livestrong.com/article/334572-foods-to-avoid-when-you-have-oral-thrush/ Peace and good health.

Fungus likes Sugar: Thrush is caused by a fungal infection (candida) which thrives on sugar. When your blood sugar is not well controlled it creates the perfect environment for the candida to flourish. Managing your sugar level and keeping it in a normal range will help prevent thrush as well as ensure anti-fungal treatments work well. http://www.diabetes.org.nz/home

Diabetes: Diabetes increased the risk of fungal infections. So patients with uncontrolled diabetes have higher risk of thrush. Thrush is more common in people with diabetes as high sugar levels lead to better conditions for the yeast to grow.
