< 126 fasting: Diabetes is diagnosed if an individual has a fasting blood glucose value of >126. A value between 100-126 is considered pre-diabetic.

Blood sugar: Blood sugar in teenagers are usually are same for adult. Normal fasting blood sugar should be less than 126 mg/ dl. Any randon blood sugar less than 200mg/ dl is considered normal too.
