Is it normal to wake up from surgery with a breathing tubes own your throat? i have had other surgeries where i did not wake up with a breathing tube?

Yes: If you were only lightly anesthetized you may have awakened a bit before the anesthesiologist was comfortable removing the tube. It is very common for people to have a breathing tube while they are awake. The breathing tube is there for your safety.
