A member asked:

Is it normal to have a tympanometry after ear tube surgery?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sometimes: After the placement of ear tubes, audiologic testing is common - the audiogram portion is helpful in reassessing the hearing after treatment and tympanometry may be used to confirm the patency of the tube (open vs. Clogged).
