A member asked:

Are fluid filled ovarian cysts less likely to be cancerous? i have a simple fluid filled. one, plus a para simple cyst.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cancer rare: Many women get ovarian cysts during their reproductive years. Most will never develop ovarian cancer. This gland functions to produce eggs. These eggs grow inside ovarian tissue within a sac or follicle. During ovulation the egg is released from its sac passing into the fallopian tubes. Usually the sac dissolves, but sometimes remains and fills with air or fluid to develop well defined cyst
