ER diagnosis: The doctor who saw you should have explained to you exactly what you have and steps necessary to get you healthy. If not, call and ask. It sounds like you tested positive for Streptococcus, a bacterial infection which requires antibiotic coverage. This should also be followed up either with the doctor who saw you or your own primary care physician.
