Middle ear effusion : If you have fluid in the middle ear, we call that an effusion. This will cause congestion, pressure, and trouble hearing. You can take decongestants, mucolytics(thin mucus), and nasal steroids like Flonase, Nasacort, or Rhinocort OTC to help drain the fluid. If it persists, then see otolaryngologist for help.
