Check with doctor: All new, unexplained or abnormal vaginal bleeding should be professionally evaluated, so if this is unusual for you, check with the doctor who treated you for the vaginal infection. If the infection was bacterial vaginosis, be sure you were checked for STDs like gonorrhea, chlamydia, and trichomonas. They are more common in BV and could cause vaginal bleeding.
