Mostly fluids: Easy to digest (non lactose) fluids in smal;l amounts frequently. Applesauce and jello are usually ok and crackers. Watch his tongue--if it does not stay moist, then go to the ER

BRAT diet: Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and Toast. Chicken soup for some protein and calories. And push fluids but not juice - can make diarrhea worse. Start with liquids, ice pops, jello to get fluids in. If walking talking and playing, doesn't need the ER. Good luck.

Don't worry : Don't worry Mom he'll be fine. Go to urgent care get your son a full history and physical. Oral zofran can be used at his age to treat nausea if present and allow oral rehydration with pedialyte or Gatorade. Pedialyte freezer pops and solution are helpful. Any international travel? Loperamide can also be given in low doses if no abdominal pain or blood in diarrhea. Slowly advance diet as tolerated
