A member asked:

Occasional resting heart rate of 140 few days before menstrual cycle begins monthly why?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Too fast: Discomfort associated with the premenstrual period could increase heart rate but 140 seems too high. I recommend a recording of your heart at that time to see if you are having an abnormal rhythm of your heart as opposed to a rapid rate of a normal rhythm. These tests are 24 hours or more and called Holter monitor recordings.
