Bradycardia: Bradycardia is slow heart rate, typically defined as less than 60 beats per minute. 43bpm is pretty darn low but highly trained endurance athletes are known to have extremely low heart rates, especially "younger" ones. Slow heart rate becomes a concern when you complain of feeling dizzy, lightheaded, faint etc. Some medications can cause slow heart rate. Check w/your family doc to be sure.

Low heart rate: Are you an athlete? If you are and have no symptoms it can be normal. Also beta blocker medications can lower heart rate. If you are concerned see your docyor and have it checked.
