Quest for Oncolgy/IM: You ask a clinical question, which should probably be directed to an Oncologist or at least an Internal Medicine doctor. Ultrasound does not "see everything" & the invasion of cells into surrounding tissue is TOO SMALL to be seen by ultrasound, which produces grainy images at best.
