How often should my teenage son and 5-year old daughter have dental x-rays? is once per year safe or should it be less often? both have healthy teeth.

Yearly is safe: Dental x-rays are extremely low dose and safe. Your Dentist periodically has to look between teeth and under the gums, areas that can't be visualized directly. A lifetime of dental x-rays will not equal one chest x-ray.
