Would the abnormalities in my cuboid (both have "steps" in) account for a break in it without there being any trauma?

Step on it.: There a multiple explanations for a cuboid to fracture, but most occur as a result of "trauma". The degree of force necessary to cause a fracture is of course dependent on multiple factors. Included in the list are general health, bone density, anatomical variations and gross trauma. Without the particulars, it is difficult to say if the proximal cause is due to "steps".
