A member asked:

I'm 23 weeks pregnant and after getting an ultrasound today, i came home with pretty bad pains on my right lower abdomen (no bleeding).

Temporary strain: Probably bec. Of the us probe's pressure or so you could have developed some pretty bad pains. Take plenty of fluids, avoid constipation, have good sleep and watch for any recurrence of pain after you do these measures. If so then consult your obstetrician. It looks like you had only the us and no procedures like amniocentesis . So most probably temporary contractions of uterus like braxton hicks.
