A member asked:

Is it possible for a person that had a c-section a year ago and that is pregnant looking to getting a vbac ?

Iffy: The more recent the last C-section, the more risks are involved for the woman doing a VBAC. I would STRONGLY encourage my wife to do repeat C-section, if her last was one year ago.--and I was known for having a low C-section rate with my patients!

Yes: depending on the type of C-section, the reason you had it, and the capability of your hospital, almost everyone who has had one C-section can try for a vaginal birth. discuss your case with an OBGYN, I would be happy to give a second opinion.
