LGV treatment: If the nodes are not improved at all, or if swelling and tenderness are increasing, check back with your doctor ASAP. However, it can take several weeks for lymph node inflammation from LGV to subside completely, so if swelling and tenderness are improving, hang in there and continue the doxycycline (normally given for 3 weeks for LGV).
