It might be a hernia: if it comes and goes for the last nine years, there is no way it is a lymph node. it might be a hernia, and you are feeling the bulge that some time might feel hard and resemble lymph node. if your doctor keep insisting it is a lymph node see a surgeon for a second opinion. do not worry it is not STD.
