Get 2nd opinion: Depression is not a "bright line" disease, where you clearly have it or you don't. It is a continuum of mood, with many people who are physically active and otherwise in good help having milder forms of it (dysthymia) while others are more severe afflicted (major depressive disorder and/or bipolar disorders). If you have a primary care doctor, get their opinion, or ask to see a psychologist.
