Opthalmologist: This may be a nonserious vitreous detachment but could also be caused by a retinal detachment which is very serious. In any event you will need an examination by an ophthalmologist as soon as possible. If you can't get a prompt appointment, go to an eye and ear clinic as an emergency patient.

Flashes of light: Flashes of light can be associated with detachment or tear in curtain of eye ( retina ) or vitreous detachment or migraine. Its best to see opthalmologist or Gp at the earliest.
