Sometimes lately, especially in the morning, i see little tiny flashes/ flickers in the far left corner of my left eye. should i be really worried?

Not as long as it's: Tiny, flickering flashes. If you see a whole lot of flashes or floaters coming down like a curtain, that would be an emergency. You'd then need to call your eye doctor, and go to the nearest er. If it's bothering you in increased frequency, then you call see your eye doctor, and discuss whether or not you need to come in for an exam.
