Ophthalmologist: These flashes may be minor vitreous detachment, but to rule out more of a retinal problem and for peace of mind,and especially if you developed a flurry of floaters in your vision, I recommend an examination by an ophthalmologist. Occasionally flashes of light in both eyes can be a harmless migraine equivalent without headache.
