Should i be concerned that i now have pleural thickening as a result of a perforated esophagus and a 5 centimeter abscess with pleuritic chest pain ?

Mgt: I would suggest cultures of the abscess fluid to include bacterial and TB tests. The thickening may be reactive scarring, but the fluid should be analyzed to guide further management.
