Get it looked at: There are a few characteristics that make a skin lesions concerning. One of them is change over time. The easy to remember mnemonic is ABCDE: asymmetry, border (irregular), color, diameter > 6 mm, evolution (over time). Any skin lesion that is changing over time should be evaluated. Skin cancers are relatively easy to spot and there really is not down side to getting it looked at.
