Muffled ear: any other symptoms??? - could be an evolving upper respiratory infection causing the eustachian tube to be blocked - generally though it affects both sides. Another thought - ear wax - or debris in the canal - probably should be checked - if its wax - its best to get it removed although you could try Debrox ear drops Good Luck
