Wax plug: It is probably worth to visit your primary care doctor to have your ear canal inspected and make sure your lost of hearing is secondary to a wax plug. If that is the case the wax needs to be removed and that way your problem will get solved.

Ears: Likely this is not hearing loss, no. This sounds like you had some sinus congestion which may have affected your ears, and currently the left. You could also simply have wax in the ears! A quick exam by a doctor can clear this up.
