Neuroma?: This could be a ganglionic cyst or a mass of nerve fibers called Mortons neuroma. Please speak to your doctor who can then examine and organize an ultrasound scan of your foot to identify the cause of the pain

Nerve irritation.: Although there are quite a few causes for a bump on the top of the foot, at your age it more than likely is due to either a ganglion or synovial cyst. As it enlarges it often irritates a sensory nerve and the result is pain. To remove all doubt, have your foot evaluated by a foot specialist and hopefully, various treatment options can be discussed.
