Plausible : Steroid shots can disrupt menstrual cycles, as can a variety of health problems or even just stress. It would depend on your sister-in-law's particular circumstances as to what additional testing might be advised.

I got a steroid shot the 1st day of my period then spotted, got another shot a month after and period was late. My next period is still late. Help!
I just started my second period in a month. At 39 this is not normal for me. Though, this happened once before about 3 years ago after a steroid shot.
