Paragard implanted 6 wks post partum, april 2012. no period since. obgyn checked placement & did ultrasound, found no issue. any ideas as to whats up?

Basic evaluation : paragard has no hormones so it does not cause a lack of periods. Your Obgyn dhoukd do a basic evaluation for what's called secondary amenorrhea ( lack of periods.) Some of the common tests include thyroid, prolactin, FSh snd LH.

No endometrium: With the Paragard there is little to no endometrium to shed, thus no periods.
