A member asked:

Does menopause caused by a hysterectomy last forever (permanent symptoms) or does the body adjust as it would with natural menopause?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Adjusts: First of all if you just have a hysterectomy (uterus removed) you will not go through menopause early. That only happens if both ovaries are removed as well. If you do have your ovaries removed then the menopause will be dramatic, but it will resolve in time.
