Menopause: Having a hysterectomy doesnt lead to menopause.Having your ovaries removed at the time of hyst. Leads to a surgical menopause.If this is your case, menopause means cessation of menstrual period.You will be menopausal for the rest of your life.Symptoms can last a few months or a few years.They can even recurr in later life. If surgical menopause, symptoms are worse sometimes than for natural menop.
