what is the best way to heal a quad strain fast? i did this on tuesday in my soccer game. and i felt something pull up in my quad again in mylast game

Rest, ice: Quad strains can be very mild (Grade 1) to severe (Grade 3) with severe involving major tearing. Recurrence is common if you return to sprinting too soon. Avoid stretching the quad b/c the muscle is already overstretched. Rest from jogging until you have been pain-free with everyday activities for 5-7 days. Then jogging/biking before sprinting. Do not push through pain. Ice x 20 min 2-4 times/day.

What is the best method to find basal body temperature?

Not accurate: As you first wake up place a basal body thermometer underneath your tongue for approximately 3 minutes. A digital thermometer is easier and more convenient. Unfortunately basal body temperature taking is very confusing. Any type of movement or any type of activity prior to awakening in taking the temperature will falsely elevated the temperature. Also when the temperature has risen approximately .6 to 1° ovulation has already occurred.

Why does my calf hurt when I stand on my toes?

Tight Calf Muscles!: The reason your calf hurts is how tight the entire muscle group is. When you stand on your toes, the calf muscle contracts, and if it is tight, then you may have pain. Performing runners' stretches are very beneficial and should help reduce the pain. If it continues, seek medical treatment with a podiatrist.

Leave them alone: The best thing to do is to leave them alone. Try to get rid of the offending agent, heat, over bundling; consider an office visit if baby's skin does not improve. It may be eczema or another common childhood rash.

What are some of the best home remedies for sunstroke?

True sunstroke is…: …not a condition to be treated at home; it requires immediate medical attention to lower the body's core temperature so the brain is not permanently damaged. Lesser sun-related illnesses can be treated with cooling, fluids, salt/electrolytes, staying in cool environment. Check with doc as to whether any meds may put you at risk for heat-related problems.

Probably yes: You should have had blood work to see if there is a fixable hormonal reason why you are skipping your periods. In general the pill is an excellent and safe way to regulate your periods. I recommend either asking more questions (maybe going with a list or a friend) so you understand your treatment better. It is unusual to do a D&C for a "stuck" period. Usually that can be treated with medicine.
