A member asked:

My albumin is 2.8 and ast in blood work is 11 ...... does this mean hepitits ? also 4 monthes pregnant .

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Poor nutrition: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, the results you provided suggest poor nutrition and you should consult your doctor about it. Even with hemodilution in pregnancy albumin should not be this low. Wish you good health and a healthy baby!
