Depends: entirely on where the cyst is and on the size. Assuming it's ovarian, your doctor may choose to continue following by ultrasound and only do something else if it becomes painful or is enlarging. Why don't you tell your doctor you are concerned and ask for the complete plan for dealing with this? If you are not comfortable, get another opinion. Good luck.
