Older individuals who have lost some manual dexterity have been helped with the waterpik. If your home care is adequate and you exhibit little or no inflammation; waterpiks are not required.

Oral hygiene: Was WaterPik recommended by your Dentist/Hygienist for specific reason? If so, follow the professional's advice. If this is a general informational question, floss and WaterPik are pretty much interchangeable. Make sure to see Dentist at least 2x/year. WaterPik excellent for complex dental situations (bridges, braces, crowding, etc.)
