Get examined: In my opinion, ANY dark spot on the skin that is symptomatic must be examined for melanoma, a deadly form of cancer. One of the most common early symptoms apparently is itching. Not to say that this is what you have, but you owe it to yourself to have it checked. You don't want to mess around with that disease. Good luck!
