Unlikely Cause: Wisdom tooth does not usually cause TN. TN is the recurrent brief episodes of unilateral electric shock-like pains, abrupt in onset and termination. If your pain is different from the above, it might be due to the chipped tooth and if this is the case, you might need to see a dentist.

TGN: What you describe is very unlikely to be a trigger for Trigeminal Neuralgia. You should see a Neurologist for advice and treatment for your TGN and a dentist for all your dental needs, especially that you already know that you have a chipped tooth. You might be getting pain from one or more of your teeth that is causing pain and unrelated to your TGN.
