A member asked:

Hello, when a woman has bilateral salpingectomy, are the tubal openings in uterus stitched shut?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Ron Eaker answered

Yes: In all cases if the tubes are removed the end leading to the uterus is either stitched shut or sealed with a cautery or other energy device. In all instances the ends are sealed one way or another
