Cow's Milk: At 1 yo we recommend starting cow's milk. It depends on the patient's weight, but you can start with whole milk and then your pediatrician will tell you according to his weight of another type is needed (skim, 1 or 2%). Most whole milk in the US is fortified with Vit D. Limit the amount to 16oz a day. Too much milk can cause iron deficiency anemia.
