Inspect, then treat: Sensations of ear fullness can be caused by many things, including excess cerumen (earwax), swelling of the ear canal itself, nasal congestion, water in the ear canal, Menier's disease, and many other causes. The first step is to have it evaluated by a physician to see if one of the more common causes (earwax, ear infection) is the culprit. If so, there are some very effective OTC approcahes.
