A member asked:

What is the proper treatment of psychosomatic(heavy head, unbalance, chest pressure, bad mood...)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Evaluation: In assessing these symptoms the first task is to have a physician take a thorough history, perform a physical examination and order appropriate tests to rule out true pathology. Only then can we assume that symptoms are functional and related to psychological and mood disorders. At that point referral to a psychiatrist is appropriate.
