Side effect: Sadly, this is a common side effect that many patients develop after laser therapy. It can have a tremendously negative impact on self-esteem and some patients believe it is unattractive. It is not possible to predict who will develop this skin pigmentation. In my experience, it is permanent and may even darken over time.
