No: Humidifiers are fine for replacing the moisture in your environment that is lost when the heat is on.They don't have to mist to be effective.It is part of the Furnace system in the North,where the heat is on for months but not in Texas.We actually advise against heated mist because the heater is a hazard, and all mist cools before it reaches you.
