Infant coughs: Yes, post-nasal drip can cause cough in an infant. Certainly bronchiolitis is common in infants, but to diagnose a physical exam needs to be done. Yes: A post nasal drip can and commonly does cause a cough. Bronchiolitis is from lower airways (lungs). It is important for her pediatrician to listen and determine where the cough is coming from. The treatments are dramatically different.
