Live in dry climate. mouth, nose, skin very dry. constant dry nose. is it better to sleep w/ a warm, or cool mist humidifier? have asthma & allergies.

Yes, but...: Humidifier does provide extra moisture to upper airway, i.e., nose and throat. However, high humidity over 60% provides a favorable environment for the molds to grow and may aggravate asthma and allergy symptoms.
