Sciatica: Many people have bulging discs on MRI. However, not everyone experiences pain into the legs. It is also unusual to have constant pain. Recommend a MD evaluation, a recent MRI and consider formal treatment with therapy. In the meantime, avoid activities that increase your pain, low impact exercise, weight control and stay hydrated. Most people will respond to these steps and do not require surgery.

Sciatica: What you are describing is likely a sciatica, which is a pain that runs down into the leg from the irritation of a nerve in the back. I would let your doctor know. There are many alternatives that can potentially help.
