Today my throat started hurting really badly and when i drank something or swallowed something it would hurt so badly. can you tell me what is wrong?

Need to examine: Do you have fever? If you have, it could be bacterial infection and it would be prudent to visit an emergency room to rule out Strep throat. It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining you and your symptoms warrant evaluation by a physician.
