It's a bit much!: and along with CALCIUM can encourage a condition called 'Milk Alkali Syndrome" (KIDNEY STONES!!) 2000IU a day is considered THERAPEUTIC and 1000IU is recommended for maintenance.. In addition MANY foods are now "fortified" with VIT D Hope this is helpful Dr Z

Bit D3: This should be OK. What your body does not need is excreted in the urine. If you take too much all that happens is that you have expensive urine!
